I've always loved putting together parties! My natural ability to coordinate details and my creative insight drove me to work in the event planning industry. Upon graduating college I worked in NYC at a private dining facility as their event coordinator. I met with numerous brides and grooms and managed their wedding receptions. I coordinated their tastings and menu selection with our Executive Chef, worked on room design and managed the vendors for their event. Corporate holiday parties were also a favorite. I would manage their contracts and coordinate all details of the food, music, decor, insurance and entertainment. I supervised all events from start to finish, managing staff and vendors to ensure the client’s vision was a success.
Later my expertise aligned me with an event planning company that allowed my creativity to soar to higher levels as a Production Manager. My events now took place not just in one exclusive venue, but venues all over Manhattan. Here I was able to create visions for clients on product launches, themed corporate parties, team building, scavenger hunts, privates dinners, bar and bat mitzvahs and exclusive get-aways. Many of these events were produced at famed New York City venues, including The China Club, The Waldorf Astoria, The Rainbow Room, The Russian Tea Room, Tavern on the Green, Windows of the World, Grand Central Station and The Museum of Natural History. I eventually moved on to the Country Club venues in the suburbs of NYC. My private dining experience flourished and my creativity developed events around the members and the facilities I worked with.
